Daniela Holzinger-Vogtenhuber (born Holzinger ; born October 21, 1987 in Vöcklabruck ) is an Austrian politician ( NOW , previously List Pilz or SPÖ ). From October 2013 to October 2019 she was a member of the Austrian National Council .

Daniela Holzinger attended primary school in Gampern from 1994 to 1998 and the secondary school in Timelkam from 1998 to 2002 . In 2007 she graduated from the commercial academy in her hometown Vöcklabruck. She then enrolled at the University of Salzburg , where she began studying political science . In 2011 she obtained her Bachelor's degree .

In addition to her studies, Holzinger was a member of the board of the Kinderfreunde in Gampern from 2009 to 2015 , and from 2011 to 2014 as a financial officer for Volkshilfe in the Vöcklabruck district .

2011-2014 Holzinger-Vogtenhuber u. a. Working on behalf of the Renner Institute Upper Austria as a strategic moderator and political advisor.

In 2012 she became the assistant manager of the Social Democratic Business Association for Upper Austria and worked until she moved into the National Council in October 2013.

In 2009 she moved to the local council of her home town of Gampern as a social democratic member . As SPÖ local party leader, she ran again in 2015 in the municipal council elections. Contrary to the national trend, which mainly brought severe losses for the SPÖ, the Gampern result increased significantly to 30.13% (+10.37 percentage points / +3 mandates).

Since the final break with the SPÖ in 2017, Holzinger-Vogtenhuber has carried out her local political tasks and a. as a councilor and member of the examination and education committee, regardless of party.

In October 2013, Holzinger-Vogtenhuber was sworn in as a member of the National Council. On February 17, 2014 she is the only one of the SPÖ MPs to vote for a hypo investigation committee called for by the opposition . An attitude that earned her great sympathy among the party base, but also made her increasingly a target for internal party attacks. At the end of April 2017, she announced that she would no longer run for the SPÖ district organization Vöcklabruck in the National Council election.

Holzinger-Vogtenhuber was part of the five-person SPÖ team for the second Eurofighter investigative committee that was deployed on March 29, 2017.

On July 28, 2017, her move to the Peter Pilz list was announced. As Upper Austria's top candidate on the new list, she and her husband and campaign manager Markus P. Vogtenhuber succeeded in conquering the basic mandate in the state and again in the National Council.

On November 9, 2017, she was a non-party deputies for the list fungal sworn in .

On May 28, 2018, she joined the List Pilz party in order to get Peter Pilz back into parliament as part of an offer from Martha Bißmann . On June 1, 2018, she resigned from this after it did not materialize. Since the position of the party organization within the Pilz list was basically a very subordinate one, no dissent can be derived from this step.

Furthermore, Holzinger-Vogtenhuber worked as a parliamentary group leader in the 3rd Eurofighter investigative committee and temporarily held the position of deputy chairman of the Pilz parliamentary club.

Three legislative proposals drafted by Holzinger-Vogtenhuber to improve the living conditions of people with disabilities found a majority in the National Council and were therefore adopted. Holzinger-Vogtenhuber co-signed eight laws.

After the National Council election in 2019 , she left the National Council.

Hardest working member of parliament

With 83 speeches, over 7 hours of total speaking time in the plenary session of the National Council, 95 questions to the government and 93 (legal) motions, Holzinger-Vogtenhuber advanced to become the most industrious female member of the XXVI in her function as social spokeswoman. Legislative period.

In the overall ranking of the last legislative period, according to the “Addendum” research platform, it ranks 3rd among all 183 MPs.

Private

In 2015 she married her press spokesman and campaign manager Markus P. Vogtenhuber. The couple's first child was born on January 10, 2020.
