Daniela Ledecká (born November 4, 1996 ) is a Slovak hurdler who has specialized in the 400 meter hurdles .

Athletic career

Daniela Ledecká gained her first international experience in 2013 at the Youth World Championships in Donetsk , where she retired in the 400-meter run with 56.32 seconds in the first round and also failed to qualify for the final with the Slovak sprint relay (1000 meters). The following year she took part in the hurdles at the Junior World Championships in Eugene , but was eliminated there with 60.75 s in the lead. In 2015 she reached the semi-finals at the European Junior Championships in Eskilstuna , where she was eliminated with 61.60 seconds. In 2017 she took part in the Summer Universiade in Taipei for the first time, but was eliminated there with 59.69 s in the first round. Previously, she was disqualified in the preliminary stages of the U23 European Championships in Bydgoszcz . The following year she qualified for the European Championships in Berlin , where she was eliminated with 57.81 s in the first round. In addition, she reached eighth place with the Slovak 4 x 400 meter relay in 3: 32.22 minutes. 2019 she won at the European Games in Minsk in 3: 20.43 min ninth place in the mixed relay and then it was at the World Student Games in Naples in 57.07 s Fifth in hurdling.

From 2017 to 2019 Ledecká was Slovak champion in the 400-meter hurdles and in 2017 indoor champion in the 4-by-200 and 4-by-400-meter relay.
