Daniele Molmenti (born August 1, 1984 in Pordenone ) is a former Italian canoeist . He became world champion in 2010 and Olympic champion in canoe slalom in 2012 .

Career

Daniele Molmenti started for the Club GS Forestale . In 2002 he became Junior World Champion in canoe slalom in Poland.

At the Canoe Slalom World Championships in 2006 he was second in the team with Stefano Cipressi and Diego Paolini . Daniele Molmenti started in 2008 in a single kayak at the Olympic Summer Games in Beijing. In 2009, 2011 and again in 2012 he became European champion and in 2010 he became world kayak champion.

In January 2017, the then 32-year-old declared his active time over and he became technical director of the Italian national team.
