Daniyel Cimen [ 'tʃiˑmən ] (born January 19, 1985 in Hanau ) is a German soccer coach and former soccer player .
Life
The son of Aramaic parents from Turkey started playing soccer at SG Nieder-Roden at the age of four and switched to Eintracht Frankfurt in 1994 when he was nine . After first appearances in the Frankfurt reserve team, Cimen made his professional debut for Eintracht on October 27, 2002 when he was substituted on in the second division game against LR Ahlen (4-1). He played four games in the 2002/03 season and was promoted to the 1st Bundesliga with Hessen . After relegation a year later, he completed nine second division games in the 2004/05 season and made an immediate return to the Bundesliga with Eintracht. Cimen played 47 times for the youth national teams of the DFB (U15 – U19), 15 times for the U-20 national team . He was also used once in the 2006 team in 2005 .
He made his debut in the Bundesliga in the 2005/06 season on September 24, 2005 when his former club Eintracht Frankfurt played against VfL Wolfsburg , which was lost 1-0. This season he celebrated second place with Eintracht in the 2005/06 DFB Cup .
For the second half of the 2006/07 season, Cimen moved on loan to Eintracht Braunschweig , who had signed him as part of the campaign "Eleven victories for the second division" to prevent the threatened relegation to the regional league, which did not succeed.
On June 15, 2007 he signed a two-year contract until 2009 with Kickers Offenbach and thus played for the arch rivals of his former employer in his old home. For the 2008/09 season he moved to FC Erzgebirge Aue in the newly created 3rd division .
From the 2010/11 season he played again for the second team of Eintracht Frankfurt. In 2011 he completed his B license coaching license and also acted as the team's assistant coach in the 2011/12 season. For the 2012/13 season he took over the U-19s from Eintracht Frankfurt as head coach.
In the 2015/16 season , Cimen was the head coach of the Hessen division Rot-Weiss Frankfurt . At the same time, he was also active as a player for the group division club FC Hanau 93 .
Cimen has been the coach of the Central Hessian football club FC Gießen since 2018 . With this he currently plays (as of the end of the 2019/20 season ) in the fourth-class Regionalliga Südwest .
