Danny Edouward Boffin (born July 10, 1965 in Sint-Truiden ) is a former Belgian football player who, after retiring from his career, is currently active as a youth coach and scout, but has also worked as a coach for provincial clubs.

Life

Boffin played in his youth at VV St. Truiden , where he also started his career in men's football in 1984. Even in the 1984/85 season without league use, he was a regular in midfield of his club from the following season. In 1987 he moved to FC Lüttich , where he was a regular player straight away. In 1991 he moved to RSC Anderlecht , where he was champion three times and was able to celebrate a cup victory. In 1997 he went to France for FC Metz . With the club he was runner-up in 1998 and was in the 1999 finals of the Coupe de la Ligue , where the RC Lens prevailed 1-0. In the spring of 2001 Boffin returned to Belgium to his home club VV St. Truiden. Here the defender developed the risk of scoring: he scored 29 goals in 96 games. In 2003 he moved to Standard Liège . There he came only to five missions and ended his active career in the summer of 2004.

Boffin was a Belgian international between 1989 and 2002 . He scored one goal in 53 international matches. He was part of the Belgian squad at the 1994 , 1998 and 2002 World Cups .
