Danny Morgan (born March 4, 1983 in Hillingdon , London ) is a British actor and screenwriter who became internationally known for films such as On the Road or Double Date .

life and career

Born in 1983, Danny Morgan began his acting career on television in 2007 with a minor supporting role in the television series Saxondale . This was followed by other smaller roles and engagements such as in the series Doctors , Ideal or Off the Hook . With these valuable experiences, he made his feature film debut as an actor in 2012 in Walter Salle's road movie On the Road - On the road alongside actors like Sam Riley , Garrett Hedlund , Kristen Stewart , Kirsten Dunst and Viggo Mortensen .

In 2012 he also met the filmmaker Benjamin Barfoot . This encounter resulted in a solid friendship, which was also reflected in the collaboration on several successive short films, for which Danny Morgan contributed the script and his acting skills, while Benjamin Barfoot directed. In 2017, Barfoot finally directed the horror comedy Double Date based on a script by Morgan, who also starred in the film. The other cast of the film included Michael Socha , Georgia Groome and Kelly Wenham . The film premiered at the Edinburgh International Film Festival on June 30, 2017 . Double Date was shown at various international festivals such as the Czech Republic , Ireland and the Stockholm International Film Festival in Sweden . At the Strasbourg European Fantastic Film Festival, the production was awarded the Octopus d'Or in the Best International Feature Film category.
