Dany Brand (born February 23, 1996 in Hinwil ) is a Swiss hurdler who specializes in the 400 meter distance .

Athletic career

Dany Brand gained his first international experience in 2014 when he retired from the Junior World Championships in Eugene with 53.32 seconds in the first round. In the following year he finished fifth at the Junior European Championships in Eskilstuna in 52.16 s and in 2016 he took part in the European Championships in Amsterdam for the first time, but was eliminated there with 51.60 s. In 2017 he won the silver medal at the U23 European Championships in Bydgoszcz in 49.14 s and then took part in the Summer Universiade in Taipei , where he finished seventh in 49.92 s and 4 times 400 with the Swiss -Meter relay reached fifth place in 3: 09.94 min. The following year he retired from the European Championships in Berlin with 50.82 s in the preliminary round and in 2019 he finished sixth at the Student World Games in Naples after 49.83 s. At the end of October he took part in the World Military Games in Wuhan , but failed there with 55.84 s in the first round.
