Dany Saval
Dany Saval (born January 5, 1942 in Paris , actually Danielle Nadine Suzanne Savalle ) is a former French actress of the 1950s, 60s, 70s and 80s.
Life
Originally a dancer, she performed at the Théâtre Mogador in 1950 and at the Moulin Rouge in 1953 . She attended opera school, worked in the Comédie-Française and toured the United States. She took acting lessons from René Simon and made her debut in 1958 in When the Flood Comes ( L'eau vive ), by French director François Villiers , which won the Golden Globe for Best Foreign Language Film in 1959 .
Dany Saval mainly starred in comedies, as well as in love films and intrigue stories. She was often the leading actress in French productions. Non-French audiences in Europe and the US will remember Dany Saval mainly as one of three stewardesses in the US comedy Boeing-Boeing (based on the play of the same name by Marc Camoletti). In this 1965 Hal Wallis production, she starred alongside Tony Curtis , Jerry Lewis , Thelma Ritter , Christiane Schmidtmer and Suzanna Leigh .
Her daughter Stéfanie Jarre came from her first marriage to the film composer Maurice Jarre , which lasted from 1965 to 1967 . Dany Saval, who has since withdrawn from the film business, is a second married to the journalist Michel Drucker and still lives in Paris.
At the beginning of the 1970s, Saval also recorded a few singles.
