Dariusz Kubicki (born June 6, 1963 in Kożuchów , Poland ) is a former Polish football player and football coach .

Club career as a player

Dariusz Kubicki began his career as a defender in Poland, where he played for the clubs FKS Stal Mielec and Legia Warsaw .

In 1991 he moved to England to Aston Villa and later played for Sunderland AFC , Wolverhampton Wanderers , Tranmere Rovers , Carlisle United and Darlington FC .

National team career as a player

Dariusz Kubicki played 46 senior international matches for the Polish national soccer team and took part in the 1986 World Cup.

Career as a coach

As a trainer, Dariusz Kubicki worked for Legia Warsaw , city rivals Polonia Warszawa , Górnik Łęczna , Lechia Gdańsk and Znicz Pruszków . From January 2013 he was coach of the first division club Podbeskidzie Bielsko-Biała . After only four games, however, he left the club again to accept a lucrative offer from abroad. He signed a two and a half year contract with the Russian second division team Sibir Novosibirsk .
