Darko Jevtić (born February 8, 1993 ) is a Swiss football player of Serbian descent.

Career

Jevtić started playing football at FC Basel . In 2005 he moved to the juniors of FC Concordia Basel , but returned after just eight months in August 2006. He then played in the U-16 team of FC Basel and became Swiss U-16 champions in 2008 and 2009.

Jevtić also played in the U-18 and U-21 teams. He started the 2011/12 season in the newly founded NextGen Series. The FCB U-19 team faced Tottenham Hotspur , PSV Eindhoven and Inter Milan in the group matches of this international tournament .

Jevtić received his first professional contract with FC Basel in January 2012. At the end of the 2012/13 season Jevtić became Swiss champions with FC Basel and was in the final of the Swiss Cup , which they lost in the penalty shootout . In the 2012/13 UEFA Europa League, he advanced to the semi-finals with FC Basel, where he had to play against the reigning UEFA Champions League winner, Chelsea . They lost both the home and away game and were eliminated with an aggregate result of 2: 5. In a long season with a total of 76 games (36 in the Super League, 6 in the Cup, 20 in the Champions League and Europa League, as well as 14 test games), the substitute Jevtić had a total of four appearances, one in the Super League and one in the Cup as well as two in test matches. He scored one goal. In 2014 Jevtić was loaned to Lech Posen , with whom he signed a new contract in 2015. In January 2020 it was sold to Rubin Kazan .

National team

Jevtić had his first international match in the Swiss U-16 national team on September 2, 2008. The team won 6-2 against Bulgaria's U-16s. He played his first international match in Switzerland's U-17 national team on September 5, 2009 in a 10-0 home win against San Marino's U-17s.
