Kamil Jóźwiak (born April 22, 1998 in Międzyrzecz ) is a Polish football player who is under contract with the first division club Lech Posen . The winger has been a Polish international since November 2019 .

Career

Kamil Jóźwiak, who was born in Międzyrzecz in western Poland , began playing football with Junior Zbąszynek and joined the Lech Posen youth team in 2011 through the youth department of Lechia Zielona Góra . He was promoted to the first team during the 2015/16 season . On February 28, 2016, he made his debut in the 2-0 home defeat against Jagiellonia Białystok in the top Polish division when he came on for Kebba Ceesay in the 46th minute . In the remaining games of the season he was used frequently and on May 15 (37th matchday) he scored his first league goal for the Kolejorz in a 3-0 home win against Ruch Chorzów . This season he completed ten league games in which he succeeded in this goal.

In the following season of 2016/17 he did not finally manage to establish himself in the starting lineup and was only used sporadically until the turn of the year. In order to gain match practice, he moved to second division GKS Katowice on loan in January 2017 . There he made his debut on March 4, 2017 (20th match day) in a 2-2 away win against Chojniczanka Chojnice . Just six days later, he scored for Katowice for the first time in a 2-2 draw against OKS Stomil Olsztyn . In total, he played 12 league games for his loan club, in which he was able to make two hits.

After his return to Lech Poznan, Jóźwiak was hardly considered at the beginning of the following season 2017/18 and he only made it into the starting lineup during the second half of the season . This season he completed 20 league games in which he was able to collect three goals and two assists. He retained his status as a regular player in the 2018/19 season . On April 3, 2019 (28th matchday) he scored the first brace of his professional career in a 3-2 home win against Pogoń Stettin . This season he scored three goals and four assists in 31 league appearances.

National team

Kamil Jóźwiak played twice for the Polish U16 national team in September 2013 and 13 times for the U17 between August 2014 and March 2015 , in which he scored a goal. In August 2015 he played two missions for the U18s . He then played 19 times for the U19 , in which he was able to mark a goal. In November 2017 he was used in an international match for the U20 . He then played 14 times for the U21s from March 2018 to November 2019 .

On November 19, 2019, Jóźwiak made his debut in a 3-2 win against Slovenia in qualifying for the European Championship 2021 for the Polish national team when he came on as a substitute for Sebastian Szymański in the closing stages .
