Thomas Pauck Rogne (born June 29, 1990 in Bærum ) is a Norwegian football player . He has been under contract in Poland with Lech Posen since 2018 .

Club career

Born in Bærum, Rogne grew up in the small winter sports resort of Lommedalen, where he started his career in the football team Lommedalen IL . About Bærum SK he then switched as a talent to the region's big club, Stabæk Fotball , for which he made his professional debut in the 2007 season .

Overall, he then completed three league games as a substitute in the final phase of the season, in which he made an extremely serene impression for his young age. At the end of the season he and the team celebrated the runner-up in the Tippeligaen . Because of his origins as one of the few “local” players in the Stabæk squad, he received a lot of attention in the local press.

For the 2008 season it was expected that the player would break through, but this did not happen due to a ruptured cruciate ligament . Stabæk celebrated the first championship title in the history of the club and moved into the cup final, in which they lost against Vålerenga Oslo . Rogne was convalescent all season and did not come to a single league use.

In the 2009 season he made a much-noticed comeback in the professional team in the play-off of the Europa League qualification against Valencia CF. Stabæk had no chance against the Spaniards in either game and lost with an aggregate result of 1: 7. However, Rogne played outstandingly in both games against the Spanish European champion David Villa and had him largely under control.

As a result, he had to fight again with several minor injuries at the beginning of the season, which he could only fight for a regular place in the second half of the season. In this, however, he knew how to convince again and was an important part of the team's defense. With rank 3 in the table, Stabæk missed defending his title, but once again managed to qualify for the Europa League. Due to his strong performances in the final phase of the season, Rogne was certified a large share of the standings.

During the season, Rogne rejected a contract extension with Stabæk, whereupon he aroused the interest of several clubs as a free transfer player. In particular, a move to Brann Bergen was seen as likely in the Norwegian press. After a trial session, however, he signed a 3.5-year contract on January 20, 2010 with the traditional Scottish team Celtic Glasgow . After the contract in Glasgow after three seasons, in which he was twice champion and once cup winner, was not renewed, he moved to Wigan Athletic on a free transfer . In March 2015 he moved to IFK Göteborg .

National team

After appearances in the Norwegian U-19 national team and the U-21 national team , he was appointed to the squad for the European Championship qualifier against Denmark on March 26, 2011 by the coach of the Norwegian national team, Egil Olsen .

Personal

On May 26, 2019, Rogne married the Norwegian Ballon d'Or winner Ada Hegerberg (* 1995) in Oslo .
