Kebba Ceesay (born November 14, 1987 in Bakau ) is a Gambian football player . The defender ran in 2007 in both the Swedish U-21 national team and the Gambian senior team .
Career
Ceesay started his career at IK Brage . With the men's team of the club he reached second place in Division 2 Norra Svealand behind Skiljebo SK as a junior player in the 2006 season . At the same time, he made himself interesting for the U-21 selection coach Tommy Söderberg and Jörgen Lennartsson and made his debut in an unofficial international match.
Ceesay had made himself very interesting. After completing a trial training session at the Stockholm club Djurgårdens IF in October 2006 , he signed a four-year contract with the club in December that was valid until the end of 2010. In February 2007 he made his senior national team debut when he came on as a substitute in the 2-1 defeat of the Gambian national team against the Luxembourg national team . In August of that year he finally made his debut for his club in the 1-0 win in the derby against Hammarby IF in the Allsvenskan . Used four times by the end of the season, he was part of the Swedish U-21 squad at the end of the year in the game against the Turkish U-21 team , in which he was in the starting line-up.
After Ceesay could not prevail in his second year at Djurgårdens IF and was mainly used as a substitute, he played his way into the regular formation over the course of the 2009 season. By the end of the season he played in 26 games, of which he was in the starting line-up in 22 games. With the club he took the relegation place, in the games against Assyriska Föreningen he helped his employer to stay in the league. Also under Lennart Wass and his successor Magnus Pehrsson he was a regular in the following seasons and placed with the team around Kasper Hämäläinen , Sebastian Rajalakso and Daniel Sjölund in the lower midfield.
In the first half of the Allsvenskan season 2012 continued to be a regular, but Ceesay decided to change clubs. At the end of July he announced his move to the Polish club Lech Posen , with whom he signed a four-year contract.
