Darmyšl (German Darmschlag ) is a district of the municipality of Staré Sedlo (Altsattel) in Okres Tachov , Czech Republic . Darmyšl is located on the road from Horšovský Týn (Bischofteinitz) between Mezholezy (Meßhals) and Staré Sedlo at the northern foot of the Sedmihoří (Siebenberge).
history
The village of Darmschlag was first mentioned in a document in 1115. It appears under the name “Dalemisle” in the foundation deed of the Kladrau monastery . With the old saddle and Prostibor, it is one of the "12 old built villages" that are excluded from the donation from Duke Wladislaw to the monastery. These villages form an elongated strip from Plessau in the north to Darmschlag in the south. It is possible that this village belt was once created for special protection on the way to Bavaria.
In the confirmation document from 1186, Cunradus von Dalemisl is named as the owner of the place, who bequeathed Opatovice, which was later deserted to the monastery. As a result, Darmschlag came to the "Wladyken" Prostibors at the nearby Kopetzen Castle.
In 1537 the Tocnik von Krimitz family, who had grown rich, came into possession of the rule. In 1624, during the Thirty Years' War , Ludmila Tocnik sold Darmschlag together with other properties to Johann Rudolf Wolfinger von Ploskowitz and Wolfsbach (Mayor of Pilsen) and his wife Susanne. Under son Johann Christoph Wolfinger, a tax roll was drawn up listing 13 farmers and one sheep hut in Darmschlag. Darmschlag was the easternmost municipality in the Tachau district .
After the Munich Agreement , the place was added to the German Empire and until 1945 belonged to the Tachau district .
In 1991 the place had 94 inhabitants. In 2001 the village consisted of 35 houses in which 73 people lived.
