Das Fräulein is a German television film from 1967. In the production of Radio Bremen , the everyday life of a young teacher from the city in her first position in a village school is portrayed.
action
Her first job is for the young teacher Inge Meinert from the city to a remote village. At first full of idealism and ambition, she quickly realizes that the village population does not like any kind of innovation. She experiences particular rejection from the long-established teacher Hoffmann.
background
The filming took place in 1966 mainly in the small town of Westervesede . The village school there served as a backdrop and school children in particular were allowed to take part in the film as extras.
criticism
“In his television play, Dieter Waldmann posed a current problem in the scheme of the usual village figures. All known types were tried. A young teacher from the city confronts this world with her well-defined opinions and prejudices, she too is headstrong. Antje Hagen played this girl, carefully and consciously at the same time. Their grace and naturalness stood out favorably from the slightly caricatured villagers. Director Hans Bachmann succumbed to the danger of overdrawing in places. He typed instead of solving. That made the atmosphere more coarse. The often formulaic brevity of the text swelled to an unpleasant length. “Hörzu 5/1967
