The Milk System is a documentary film by Andreas Pichler from 2017.
In this documentary, Grimme Prize winner Andreas Pichler highlights the negative consequences for people, animals and the environment that the intensification of the dairy industry has . Pichler visits family businesses suffering from price pressure, the large groups Friesland-Campina and Arla Foods , an agricultural fair in Cremona , the World Dairy Congress and the COPA-COGECA and conducts interviews with experts. In 2018, the film won the German Business Film Award in the "Economy well explained" category.
