Dasylirion acrotriche var. Parryanum (Trel.) Bogler is a synonym
The rare Dasylirion parryanum is a member of the Dasylirion section . It is limited in desert areas in east to central Mexico in San Luis Potosi, Aguascalientes and Guanajuato. The sturdy, short, strong trunk covered with old leaves is characteristic. The variable, stiff, roughened, warty, bluish to green, dense leaves with the strong fibrous / bushy end tips are typical. It is similar to Dasylirion leiophyllum but has these downward radial spines. In contrast Dasylirion occidentalis has smooth, longer leaves with fine bushy / fibrous end tips. In the overlapping areas, hybrids with z. B. different leaf structure.
Dasylirion parryanum is little known.
