Dat Blatt op Platt (spelling: DAT BLATT op Platt) was a Low German illustrated magazine published by journalist and author Bernhard Koch in Halstenbek , Schleswig-Holstein .

history

The magazine first appeared in November 2005. The editor was the Low German author and culture award winner Christa Heise-Batt , editorially supported by the radio presenter Petra Wede and other honorary authors.

The biannual publication not only reported on northern Germany , but also showed, like the radio magazine Between Hamburg and Haiti broadcast by NDR Info , with stories the way into the wide world. In a 2014 edition, the editor took the “readers on a trip through the zoo by the sea in Bremerhaven. There was a travel report from Usedom to Helsinki to Stockholm, Antje Olthoff visited under the motto 'Don't use eel!' the Low German rapper Hendrik Bloem, and Petra Wede gave a detailed obituary for Larry Elvers from the band Godewind . Waldtraut Vogt recommended Low German children's books, and Marianne Scheitzow talked about the deportation of Kinderland during World War II under the title 'Wiet weg vun to Huus' . "

Due to the excessive workload for the small editorial team, Dat Blatt op Platt was discontinued after the 20th edition in May 2015.
