MTV Video Music Awards / Best R&B Video

The Best R&B Video Award was presented from 1993 to 2006 as part of the annual MTV Video Music Awards . In 2007, MTV withdrew from the genre awards, but returned to them a year later. However, this category was not revived until 2019.

Music videos that have been assigned to the contemporary R&B genre are nominated . Between 2007 and 2019 these videos were listed either under Best Hip-Hop Video or Best Pop Video .

Most of the wins, with two each, went to En Vogue , Destiny's Child , Beyoncé and Alicia Keys . Alicia Keys got the most nominations with five.
