David "Dave" Alan Coulier (born September 21, 1959 in Detroit , Michigan ) is an American stand-up comedian , actor and director .

Career

Dave Coulier was best known as Joey Gladstone in the series Full House . After the series ended in 1995, things became quiet around him. Today Coulier mainly works as a voice actor for cartoon series, most recently in the series Robot Chicken (2005). He was also seen in the reality show The Surreal Life 3 alongside Brigitte Nielsen and Flavor Flav .

Private

From 1990 to 1992 he was married to Jayne Modean . The two have a son together. After that he was in a relationship with Alanis Morissette , but the relationship broke up in 1993. Coulier is close friends with stand-up colleague Tim Allen , known from the American sitcom Listen, Who's That Hammering .
