David S. "Dave" Jareckie (born July 25, 1967 in Mexico City ) is a former American biathlete .

Dave Jareckie started biathlon in 1986. The mountain hunter competed in international races since the early 1990s. Jareckie had his international breakthrough in the 1993 season . In Borowetz he took part in the Biathlon World Championships , where he was 91st of the individual and with Curt Schreiner , Ian Harvey and Erich Wilbrecht 16th of the relay race. In the following season Jareckie won his only points in the World Cup as 24th of a sprint in Antholz . The high point of his career was the 1994 Winter Olympics in Lillehammer , where he was 64th in the sprint and 14th in the relay race with Curt Schreiner, Jon Engen and Duncan Douglas . After the season he ended his international career.
