David Alan Stevenson
David Alan Stevenson (born July 21, 1854 in Edinburgh , † April 11, 1938 ) was a Scottish engineer.
As the son of David , grandson of Robert and nephew of Thomas Stevenson , he came from a family of lighthouse farmers. His brother Charles Alexander's son - Alan Stevenson - continued the tradition.
During his lifetime, David Alan Stevenson built 26 lighthouses around Scotland with his uncle Thomas and brother Charles Alexander.
In 1884 he was elected a member ( Fellow ) of the Royal Society of Edinburgh .
