David Babunski (born March 1, 1994 in Skopje ) is a North Macedonian football player .
Career
In the club
Babunski has played in the youth division of FC Barcelona since 2006 . From the 2013/14 season he officially belongs to the B-team of the club. His contract with the Catalans runs until 2015. On August 24, 2013, he made his debut in the Segunda División when he came on as a substitute in the 2-1 win over CD Lugo .
On January 28, 2016, Babunski moved to the Serbian first division club Red Star Belgrade . A year later he went to Japan to the Yokohama F. Marinos in the J1 League . He is currently under contract with the second division club Ōmiya Ardija .
In the national team
Babunski recorded appearances for the U-17, U-19 and U-21 selection of Macedonia. He played his first international game for the senior team on August 14, 2013 in a friendly against Bulgaria . In qualifying for the 2014 World Cup , Babunski played two games for the Macedonian national team, which finished last in Group A.

He is the son of the former Macedonian national soccer player Boban Babunski , who coached Macedonia's U-21 team from 2009 to 2014. His brother Dorian, who is two years his junior, is also a soccer player and plays in Japan for the second division club FC Machida Zelvia .
