David Bellugi

David Bellugi (born September 5, 1954 in Rochester , New York ; † June 7, 2017 in Florence , Tuscany ) was an Italian-American conductor , recorder player and university teacher .

Life

David Bellugi was born into a German-Italian family in the United States . He studied at the University of California with Bernhardt-Ambros Batschelet. He completed his studies with Antoine Geoffroy-Dechaume in Paris . In 1979 Bellugi established himself as a lecturer for recorder at the Conservatorio di Musica Luigi Cherubini in Florence . His interpretations have been documented by Radio France-Paris , Radio France-Lille and Radio della Svizzera Italiana , among others . Concert tours have taken him to Australia, Belgium, England, France, Germany, Greece, Israel, Canada, Austria, Portugal, Russia, Scotland, Spain, Switzerland and the United States.
