David Carry (born October 8, 1981 in Aberdeen , Scotland ) is a Scottish and British swimmer .

Career

Carry's favorite distances are the freestyle courses. Carry competed for Scotland at the Commonwealth Games in 2002 and 2006 . In 2006 he was able to secure the gold medal in the 400 m freestyle and 400 m medley. He also finished second with the 4 × 200 m freestyle relay.

In 2008, at the World Short Course Championships in Manchester , he won the silver medal with the British 4 × 200 m freestyle relay and a new European record.

He was able to qualify for the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing for the 4 × 200 m freestyle relay. At the Commonwealth Games in New Delhi in 2010 , he finished second in the 4 × 200 m relay and third in the 400 m freestyle.

He is currently studying at Loughborough University .
