David E. Campbell

David E. Campbell (* before 1977) is an American sound engineer .

Life

Campbells first appeared as a sound engineer in the film Die Meute ( The Pack ) in 1977 . In this thriller , half-starved dogs that have been left behind on a vacation island band together and become a threat to humans and other animals. Campbell delivered his last work in 2007 for the horror film The Reaping - The Messengers of the Apocalypse . Directed by Stephen Hopkins playing Hilary Swank and David Morrissey , the lead roles. The IMDb film database lists 175 films in which Campbell was involved.

In 2000 Campbell was honored together with John T. Reitz , Gregg Rudloff and David Lee for his work on the science fiction film Matrix in the category "Best Sound Mixing" .

In 1991 Campbell was nominated for an Oscar in the "Best Sound" category for his work on the comic book adaptation of Dick Tracy, along with his colleagues Thomas Causey, Chris Jenkins and Doug Hemphill . He was also nominated for "Best Sound" for his work on the following films:
