David John Malloy (born February 3, 1956 in Milwaukee ) is an American clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Rockford .

Life

The Archbishop of Milwaukee , Rembert Weakland George OSB , dedicated it on July 1, 1983 priests .

Pope Benedict XVI appointed him Bishop of Rockford on March 20, 2012 . He was ordained episcopal on May 14th of the same year by the Archbishop of Chicago , Francis Eugene Cardinal George OMI ; Co- consecrators were Jerome Edward Listecki , Archbishop of Milwaukee, and Thomas George Doran , Former Bishop of Rockford. As a motto he chose Fides Spes Caritas (Latin for faith, hope and love).
