Thomas George Doran
Thomas George Doran (born February 20, 1936 in Rockford ; Illinois ; † September 1, 2016 ibid) was an American clergyman and Roman Catholic bishop of Rockford .
Life
Thomas George Doran was ordained a priest on December 20, 1961 .
Pope John Paul II named him Bishop of Rockford on April 19, 1994. The Archbishop of Chicago , Joseph Louis Cardinal Bernardin , donated him the episcopal ordination on June 24 of the same year; Co- consecrators were Arthur Joseph O'Neill , Bishop Emeritus of Rockford, and Joseph Anthony Galante , Bishop of Beaumont .
On March 20, 2012, Pope Benedict XVI. the resignation put forward by Thomas George Doran for reasons of age.
