David Roth (2011)

David Roth (born May 19, 1985 ; resident in Lucerne ) is a Swiss politician ( Juso / SP ) and trade unionist .

biography

From 2008, when he was nominated by the SP, Roth was a member of the city ​​council of Lucerne. In the city elections of June 14, 2009, in which the Juso also received a seat for the first time, he was confirmed in office.

On March 12, 2011, he was elected President of Juso Switzerland to succeed Cédric Wermuth . Also as the successor to Cédric Wermuth, David Roth was unanimously elected Vice President of the SP Switzerland on December 3, 2011 at the delegates' meeting in Lucerne. On April 10, 2011, David Roth was elected to the Lucerne Cantonal Council, which is why he resigned from his previous office as a city councilor. In March 2014 he resigned from his position as Juso President, and Fabian Molina was elected as his successor . Roth has been President of the SP Canton Lucerne since spring 2015.

Roth ran for a seat on the National Council in the Swiss parliamentary elections in 2011 and 2015 , without being elected. In the parliamentary elections on October 20, 2019 , he is running again on the list of the SP Canton of Lucerne.

Roth lives in Lucerne and has been working for the syndicom union since 2016 .
