David de Buren ( 12. February 1614 - 31 December 1659 ) was a Swiss politician, Governor and Bernese cantonal parliament from the Bernese patrician family Buren .

Life

Büren was the son of the Venner Johann von Büren. From 1635 he was Bernese Grand Councilor (representative of the forging quarter , 1636 of the Pfisternviertel), 1637 Grossweibel , from 1647 to 1649 and 1657 Sechzehner , 1650 Kleinrat , 1658 Venner. In 1640 he became bailiff in Romainmôtier , in 1650 in Lausanne .

In 1633 he married Margarete von Bonstetten, daughter of Karl von Bonstetten , Bernese councilor and baron von Vaumarcus. Through his wife he came to rule Vaumarcus . In 1659, Leopold I gave him the title of hereditary imperial baron .

The trial of Johann Frischherz took place during Buren's tenure as Grossweibel , which later, as a member of the sixteen, attracted special attention in the council elections.
