Davide Monteleone

Davide Monteleone (* 1974 in Potenza , Basilicata region , Italy ) is an Italian photographer and journalist .

Life

Monteleone dropped out of engineering to study photography and journalism in the United States and Great Britain . His career as a photographer started in 2000 when he started at the Italian agency Contrato . In 2001 he went to Moscow as a correspondent . Since 2003 he has been commuting between Italy and Russia , also because of his various projects .

Since his first illustrated book was published in 2007, others have followed, some of which have won awards. His photographs have also been shown internationally in solo exhibitions. In 2013, with the help of the Carmignac Foundation, he published the illustrated book Spasibo with the results of his stay in Chechnya .
