Davide Plebani (born July 24, 1996 in Sarnico ) is an Italian cyclist who competes in races on track and road .

Athletic career

Davide Plebani comes from a cycling enthusiast family; his parents run a bar in his hometown. At the age of ten, he started cycling to lose weight. He also competed in motocross races , which he gave up after a fall.

In 2014 Plebani became the Italian junior road racing champion. In 2016 he won silver in the team pursuit at the U23 European Championships with Simone Consonni , Filippo Ganna and Francesco Lamon . Three years later, he won the team pursuit with Liam Bertazzo , Lamon and Ganna at the Track World Cup in Hong Kong . In 2019 he won the bronze medal in the single pursuit at the World Railroad Championships in Pruszków, Poland .
