Davy Cunningham (born in Scotland before 1989 ) is a Scottish lighting designer who works on major opera houses.

Life

Cunningham first studied philosophy at the University of Stirling before devoting himself to lighting design for drama and opera . Cunningham has been responsible for the lighting design for over 250 stage productions worldwide. He is a laureate of the Bohuslav Martinů Society in the Czech Republic. In acting he worked for a number of productions in London's West End (e.g. for Ivanov or Much Ado about Nothing ), also for the Royal Shakespeare Company (for The Taming of the Shrew ) and National Theater in London, for Abbey and Gate in Dublin, as well as for The Druid in Galway .
