17-year-old Caroline Wexler moves with her father from the big city to a small village in the middle of nowhere. In her opinion, she has nothing in common with her classmates, so she turns to her teacher Mr. Anderson, to whom she feels connected with the intention of conquering him for herself. However, her classmate Thurston is also very interested in Caroline, which leads to a rather strange love triangle developing.

Awards and nominations

In 2012 Daydream Nation was nominated for five Leo Awards , including in the category for best camera. Jon Joffin won this award. In the same year Daydream Nation was nominated for the Vancouver Film Critics Circle Awards for Best Picture British Columbia. The award went to the film People of a Feather.
