Kat Dennings (* 13. June 1986 in Philadelphia , Pennsylvania as Katherine Victoria Litwack ) is an American actress .
life and career
Kat Dennings grew up in Bryn Mawr as the youngest of five children in a Jewish family. After receiving home schooling, Dennings graduated from high school at the age of 14 . Soon after, her parents moved her to Los Angeles , where she could pursue her acting career. She adopted her stage name Dennings at a young age.
Kat Dennings made her acting debut in an episode of the television series Sex and the City in 2000. After that, she appeared in many US television series such as CSI: Vegas , CSI: NY or Emergency Room . In the television comedy The Scream Team (2002) she played one of the bigger roles. She learned to play the piano for the role in the musical film Raise Your Voice - Live Your Dream from 2004, in which she appeared alongside Hilary Duff . In the comedy Big Mama's House 2 (2006) she starred in an even bigger role alongside Martin Lawrence , Nia Long and Emily Procter . In the 2007 comedy Charlie Bartlett , she played the role of the daughter of a school principal ( Robert Downey junior ), who enters into a relationship with his student ( Anton Yelchin ). In 2008 she had her first lead role in Nick and Norah - Soundtrack One Night . From 2011 to 2017 she played as Max Black one of the main characters in the sitcom 2 Broke Girls . She has been speaking the girl Leah in the Netflix animated series Big Mouth since 2017 .
Dennings was in a relationship with Nick Zano for almost three years , who also had a supporting role in 2 Broke Girls . She and singer Josh Groban had been a couple since the beginning of October 2014 . In 2016, they separated amicably.
