De Patrick is a tragic comedy by Tim Mielants that premiered on July 1, 2019 at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival and was released in Belgian cinemas on August 28, 2019.

Patrick lives with his parents on a naturist campsite. When his father dies he is responsible for the campsite, but Patrick has other things on his mind. He lost his favorite hammer. The long-term guests want Patrick to get his life under control, but he tries to just find his hammer again as if his life is hanging on it.

It is the feature film debut of Belgian director Tim Mielants , who previously worked in this capacity for a number of television series. He wrote the script together with Benjamin Sprengers .
Kevin Janssens took over the title role from Patrick.
The shooting took place in the summer of 2018 in the Walloon Ardennes and in Antwerp . Frank van den Eeden acted as cameraman .
The film was presented at the Karlovy Vary International Film Festival from July 1, 2019 and was released in Belgian cinemas on August 28, 2019. In September 2019 it was shown at the Fantastic Fest in Austin. In early November 2019 it was shown at the Minsk International Film Festival “Listapad”. A screening at the AFI Film Festival is also planned for November 2019 .
