Philippe "Bouli" Lanners (born May 20, 1965 in Moresnet , Belgium ) is a Belgian actor , film director and screenwriter .

Life

Philippe Lanners studied painting at the Art School in Liège . He had several exhibitions in the 1980s. Lanners made his first appearance in a film in the tragicomedy Toto the Held , directed by Jaco Van Dormael and released in 1991 . He played a nameless gangster. Lanners made his debut as a director and screenwriter with the short film Travellinckx in 1999 . For his short film Muno , he was nominated for the European Film Award for Best Short Film in 2002. He made his feature film debut in 2005 with the drama Ultranova .
