Location of Dechtow in Brandenburg

Dechtow is a district of the municipality of Fehrbellin in the Ostprignitz-Ruppin district in Brandenburg .

The village is characterized by the estate, its farms, the field stone church from the 15th century and cobblestone avenues . It lies in the flat land between sand and moor and is a home for 300 people.

The state road L 173 leads through the village ; The A 24 runs one kilometer northeast .

history

The Dechtow pastor Siebmann came to the sporadic conclusion in 1797 about the character of the Dechtow residents: "It says here as everywhere: sunt bona mixta malis" ("The good and the bad are mixed").

On October 26, 2003 Dechtow was incorporated into the Fehrbellin community by law.
