Hubert Deittert

Hubert Deittert (born March 21, 1941 in Neuenkirchen / Wiedenbrück district , today Rietberg in the Gütersloh district ; † April 19, 2020 ) was a German politician ( CDU ).

Life and work

After attending primary school in Varensell , Deittert completed an agricultural apprenticeship from 1955 to 1958 and attended the agricultural college in Wiedenbrück from 1959 to 1961 . He then took over his parents' business and has been an independent farmer ever since .

Political party

Deittert joined the CDU in 1964 and has been a member of the board of the CDU district association Wiedenbrück since 1970 and of the district association Gütersloh since 1973 . From 1994 to 2005 he was also chairman of the district association.

MP

Deittert was a member of the Rietberg City Council from 1975 to 1998 .

From 1994 to 2009 he was a member of the German Bundestag and was chairman of the CDU / CSU parliamentary group in the petitions committee from 1998 to 2002 . He did not run for the 2009 Bundestag election.

Hubert Deittert has always entered the Bundestag as a directly elected member of the Gütersloh constituency . In the 2005 Bundestag election , he received 48.9% of the first votes .

Public offices

From 1977 to 1997 Deittert was mayor of the city of Rietberg.
