Dejan Kulusevski (born April 25, 2000 in Stockholm ) is a Swedish football player . He is considered a flexible offensive player who can fill the positions of the two sides of the wing as well as those of the attacking midfielder in the headquarters . Kulusevski plays for Parma Calcio and is a Swedish international .

Career

Kulusevski began playing football at IF Brommapojkarna in the Swedish capital, Stockholm . There he played in various junior selections and drew the attention of clubs from stronger leagues with strong performances. Because of his talent, it wasn't uncommon for him to play with older boys. On July 7, 2016, the offensive player moved to the youth department of the Italian first division club Atalanta Bergamo for a training allowance of 165,000 euros . There he played the 2016/17 season in the U17 team and was able to convince with 17 goals in 26 league games. He could not continue this goal quota in the following season for the U19, but finished them with 15 points - five goals and ten assists - in 27 league games.

During the next season 2018/19 he was nominated several times by head coach Gian Piero Gasperini for the matchday squad of the first team. On January 20, 2019 (20th match day) he made his Serie A debut when he came on for Dutchman Marten de Roon in the 72nd minute of a 5-0 away win against Frosinone Calcio . After another assignment as a substitute, he was on February 23 (25th matchday) in the 0-2 away defeat against FC Turin for the first time in the starting lineup, but was substituted after 71 minutes played. These three games remained his only one this season for the men's team, while he also scored eight goals and prepared 12 in 19 league games for the U19s.

In order to gain match practice, he switched to league rivals Parma Calcio on July 18, 2019 on loan for the entire 2019/20 season . He made his debut for the Crociati on the first match day, in the 0-1 home defeat by Juventus Turin on August 24th . On the next match day, Kulusevski prepared two goals for his team and thus contributed significantly to the 3-1 away win at Udinese Calcio . As a result, he established himself as an integral part of the starting lineup of coach Roberto D'Aversa . His first goal then followed on September 30th in a 3-2 home win against FC Turin, when he used an ideal pass from Gervinho from close range after just 77 seconds . In the 5-1 home win against CFC Genoa three weeks later, he scored again and contributed two assists.

His rapid ascent meant that top European clubs asked Atalanta about the young winger in winter 2019 . On January 2, 2020, the Italian record champions Juventus Turin secured his services for a transfer fee of 35 million euros. He signed a contract with the old lady until 2024, but will remain with Parma Calcio until the end of the season.

National team

Kulusevski's parents come from Macedonia , which is why it was possible for him to play for either the Swedish or the North Macedonian senior team.

After his first appearances in the Swedish U15 national team , he played for the U17 of Macedonia from the end of 2015 to May 2016 . However, he then played again for Sweden and scored in nine. At 17, he was invited to the Macedonian senior team. However, he refused this on the grounds that he wanted to play for Sweden.

From August 2015 he played for Sweden's U17s . There he scored six goals in 19 internationals in two years. For the U19 he then played 13 games by November 2018, in which he scored twice.

Kulusevski has been the Swedish U21 international since March 2019 . He made his senior national team debut on November 18, 2019 in a 3-0 win over the Faroe Islands .
