The Fritzlar deanery is one of ten deaneries in the Roman Catholic diocese of Fulda . It roughly covers the Schwalm-Eder district . It borders in the east on the deanery Eschwege-Bad Hersfeld , in the south on the diocese Mainz , in the west on the deanery Marburg-Amöneburg and the archbishopric Paderborn and in the north on the deanery Kassel-Hofgeismar . The dean is Jörg Stefan Schütz, pastor of Fritzlar, his deputy is Gerhard Braun, pastor of Gensungen.

history

With the reform of the deanery on April 1, 2007, the deanery was re-established as one of ten deaneries of the Diocese of Fulda, with the previous deanery of the same name being identical.

The Dean's office, based in Fritzlar, is divided into the following two pastoral associations :
