The Kinzigtal deanery is one of ten deaneries in the Roman Catholic diocese of Fulda . It includes the former districts of Gelnhausen and Schlüchtern with the central and eastern Kinzig valley as well as the Hessian Spessart and the foothills of the Vogelsberg . It borders on the Neuhof-Großenlüder dean's office in the east, the Würzburg diocese in the south, the Hanau dean's office in the west and the Mainz diocese in the north . Markus Günther, pastor of St. Peter, Gelnhausen is dean.

history

With the reform of the deanery on April 1, 2007, the Kinzigtal deanery was re-established as one of ten deaneries in the Fulda diocese. It emerged from the previous deaneries in Gelnhausen, Bad Orb and Salmünster.

The Kinzigtal deanery is divided into the following six pastoral associations :
