The Delaney River is a river in the north of the Australian state of Queensland .
geography
River course
The river has its source at The Springs west of the Newcastle Range in the Atherton Tablelands , which are part of the Great Dividing Range . From there it flows north, along the Forsayth Road from Einasleigh via Forsayth to Georgetown. On the southern outskirts of Georgetown it flows into the Etheridge River .
