Demeter Bitenc
Demeter Bitenc (born July 21, 1922 in Ljubljana ; † April 22, 2018 there ) was a Yugoslav or Slovenian actor .
life and career
Bitenc first studied economics before enrolling at the Academy of Performing Arts. 1953/1954 he was a member of the ensemble at the National Theater in Ljubljana ; other stations in his theater career were the National Theater in Rijeka , the National Theater in Belgrade and the Slovenian Theater in Celje. In 1960 he became a freelance actor.
After his debut in the 1948 film Na svoji zemlji , he also became an institution of Yugoslav cinema and played 200 roles, later also for television. He was often seen in international productions, including a supporting role in Winnetou Part 1 . He was seen as a Nazi officer in around 45 films; Sinister types predominate in the filmography of his portrayals. In 2005 he played his last role.
In some films he was shown as Dimitrij Bitenc .
