Deniran Ortega (born May 28, 1986 in Warri , Nigeria ) is a retired Nigerian soccer player.

Career

Deniran began his career in 1996 in the youth of Apapa Lagos in his native Nigeria. In 2003 he moved to Idah United, which he stayed with for a year. This was followed by his first move abroad and the striker played in Mexico in 2004 and 2005 for CD Apatzingan and Legartos.

In 2005/06 he moved to Guatemala and completed a season with CD Suchitepéquez , where he even became Guatemalan champion. In 2006 he turned his back on America and played briefly in China with Chongqing Lifan , which he left at the beginning of 2007 for Bulgaria and Spartak Varna . There he played 13 times before he was signed by Slavia Sofia . There he played an important role in the 2007/08 seasons and in the fall of 2008. In spring and autumn 2009 he was awarded by the club to Levski Sofia , where he was allowed to play in the Europa League and won the Bulgarian Supercup in 2009.

In 2010 the striker played on loan at Bananz Yerevan in Armenia. In early 2011 he returned to Slavia. In summer 2012 he moved to Dolphins FC in his Nigerian homeland. He played there for two years before returning to Europe in mid-2014. He joined Edinburgh City , which played in the Scottish League Two .
