Dennis Kamitz (born November 27, 1995 in Berlin ) is a young German actor .

Career

Kamitz gained his first experiences during a school internship in the CCC film studios . After smaller projects, extras, competition entries and supporting roles, he had his first success in 2011 with the short film Crazy Dennis Tiger by Jan Soldat . Then Kamitz was invited to the 62nd Berlin International Film Festival . The film was nominated there in the Generation 14plus category . In addition, the film was presented at film festivals such as the Dresden Film Festival in 2012, the Sehs sucht student film festival in 2012 and the children's and media festival Goldener Spatz in 2012 as well as at the German Short Film Award 2012.

From summer 2012 to December 2014 Kamitz was under contract with the acting agency Impact . He took on a leading role in the short film The White Rabbit . In the future movies Ricky and Buddha's little finger , Kamitz played a supporting role. In early 2013 he took on the leading role in the short TV film Thieves for Arte . Kamitz can also be seen in the music video by rapper Prinz Pi for the title Kompass ohne Norden . In May 2013 Kamitz stood in front of the camera for the children's and youth series Schloss Einstein . In the summer of 2013, Dennis Kamitz shot the short film 'Tipp Tapp' for the DFFB. He received his first leading role in a feature film in autumn 2013. He was in front of the camera for the film SIBYLLE . The film was shot in Munich and Italy.

At the beginning of 2014, Kamitz played a leading role in the short film Eine wie Alaska by the DFFB . In addition, the film Diebe premiered at the 35th Max Ophüls Prize Film Festival in Saarbrücken, was also shown at the International Short Film Festival Clermont - Ferrand in France and received the title of Particularly Valuable from the German Film and Media Assessment (FBW) . In May 2014, the film was shown as part of the Next Generation Short Tiger at the Cannes Film Festival . In the summer of 2014 Kamitz was back for two starring roles in the short films 33 days and final front of the camera and took over the music video Wonder Years by rapper Fargo also has a leading role. In winter 2014 it was announced that the film SIBYLLE , in which Kamitz played one of the leading roles, will have its premiere at the 65th Berlin International Film Festival . It ran there as part of the Perspective German Cinema section . In March 2015, the film Thieves , with Kamitz in one of the leading roles, was named best film of 2014 at the Shortcutz Berlin Awards . In addition, Kamitz was not only nominated for best leading actor, but also received an honorable mention for his acting performance in this film. Since summer 2015 he has been represented by the acting agency underplay . In autumn 2015 it was announced that the film SIBYLLE with Dennis Kamitz in one of the leading roles would hit German cinemas on February 4, 2016. The film also won awards at the Dark Frame Film Festival , for best horror feature film and the award for best female actress for Anne Ratte Polle. In February 2016, Dennis was seen in a leading role in the episode number XY ... unsolved on ZDF . He also stood in front of the camera for a leading role in the series Notruf Hafenkante . Filming for the DFFB and the Ludwigsburg Film Academy followed in early 2017 . In addition, the founding story of Hertha BSC was filmed in mid-2017, with Dennis Kamitz in one of the leading roles, and he took on an episode lead role in the KIKA series The Adventures of Jan & Henry .
