Adventure Mallorca is a German TV film directed by Wolfgang F. Henschel from 2009 based on a script by Andreas Föhr and Thomas Letocha . It is the 69th and last episode of the crime series Der Bulle von Tölz with Ottfried Fischer as the main actor in the role of Chief Inspector Benno Berghammer. It was first broadcast on February 3, 2009 on ORF 1 .

action

Resi Berghammer runs a snack bar on a beach in Mallorca . When she is about to do some shopping, she happens to meet Katja Flemisch, the friend of the Tölz construction company Anton Rambold, who is in charge of a restaurant project on the island. The two women are kidnapped on the way to Rambold's rented finca and taken to a hiding place. The kidnappers demand one million euros ransom from Rambold and warn him not to call in the police.

At the same time, Hans Meidenbauer, member of the Bundestag, was shot with a shotgun in Bad Tölz. The politician suspects the environmental activist Jakob Ernst to be behind the attack, as Meidenbauer is campaigning for the construction of a motorway through the district in Berlin. But Ernst has an alibi. Prosecutor Dr. Meidenbauer refuses personal protection offered to Georg Lenz. Much to his displeasure, policeman Schmidt was asked to shadow him. This leads to indications that the kiosk owner Karl Waldmüller observed Meidenbauer, whereupon the MP withdrew his complaint. Commissioner Benno Berghammer and policeman Schmidt find out that Meidenbauer had an affair with the fishing queen Emma Waldmüller, whereupon he regards the attack as a shot across the bow and wants the investigation to be finally closed.

Benno Berghammer's colleague Nadine Richter is currently on vacation in Mallorca and is looking for the kidnapped. She gets to know the boat owner Enrique, who fakes a car breakdown in order to approach the inspector. She is not exactly enthusiastic about the deception, but makes use of his local knowledge.

One hot lead leads to Bernd Pischner, a former business partner of Rambold, who has lived in Mallorca for three years and mysteriously lost his wife six months ago. There is a suspicion that Pischner wants revenge on Rambold because he ripped him off. Nadine Richter locates his property and sends him greetings from Rambold. Since Pischner slams the door in her face, she penetrates the house in a different way, but is discovered and escapes. When Pischner drives away in the car, she follows him, but drives into the ditch in shock when Enrique suddenly appears in the back of the car.

Katja Flemisch and Resi Berghammer try in vain to break out of their prison; contact with a passer-by also fails. Frau Berghammer writes a cry for help on a cloth and throws it out of the barred window. When this was unsuccessful either, she encouraged her fellow prisoners to fool her guard into the Stockholm Syndrome . Katja Flemisch plays her role so convincingly that he frees her from her bonds. She manages to incapacitate him and flee together with Resi Berghammer.

Nadine Richter finds Bernd Pischner's car abandoned on the coast; According to cell phone tracking, however, the owner has to be nearby. She finds the cloth that Resi Berghammer threw out of the window and continues to the beach, where she meets Mr. Pischner with his lively wife - the sailing accident and her disappearance were only faked. Pischners want to negotiate a deal with the prosecutor, but Dr. Because of the large number of offenses, Lenz only promises them to consider their willingness to cooperate. Commissioner Richter received the information from Ms. Pischner that she heard someone calling when she was near a boathouse. But she didn't react for fear that she might be discovered.

In the meantime, the kidnapper, taken by surprise, has picked himself up and, with his accomplice, has started the pursuit of the escaped. Just as they get hold of her, Nadine Richter arrives and overpowers the kidnappers. One of them is Enrique, who only approached her to see if she was on to them; the other is called Pablo and works as a construction worker.

Anton Rambold is delighted: his partner is free again without paying a ransom; otherwise he would have had to liquidate a fund with high losses.

Benno Berghammer stayed at Rambold's house until the kidnapping case was resolved and will return to his pension the next day. To his great astonishment, he found his mother there. She has had enough of Mallorca; She has found a tenant for her snack bar.
