Oliver Nägele

Oliver Nägele (* 1957 in Frankfurt am Main ) is a German actor .

life and work

Oliver Nägele's first stage in his acting career was the Städtische Bühnen in Bremen . This was followed by engagements in Stuttgart , in his hometown Frankfurt and under artistic director Frank-Patrick Steckel at the Schauspielhaus Bochum . In 1996 he was called to the Münchner Kammerspiele by Dieter Dorn . With Dorn in 2001 he moved to the Bavarian State Theater . He had his first role under Dorn in the Botho Strauss production Ithaka as Sauhirt Eumaios. In addition to another ostrich piece, he played the trigorin in Anton Pawlowitsch Chekhov's Die Möwe at the Kammerspiele . Franz Xaver Kroetz occupied him as provost in Mr. Puntila and his servant Matti von Bertolt Brecht .

At the Bavarian State Theater he played Salerio in The Merchant of Venice by William Shakespeare under Dieter Dorn . Other directors with whom Nägele worked here so far were Jan Bosse , Florian Boesch , Elmar Goerden , Harald Clemen , Hans-Ulrich Becker and Benjamin Walther .

Under the direction of Doris Dörrie , Oliver Nägele has appeared in several films since 1991: in 1991 he was involved in the Happy Birthday Turk project and in 1993 Doris Dörrie and Oliver Nägele shot together Nobody Loves Me . Also in her films Am I beautiful? (1997) and Der Fischer und seine Frau (2004) saw Oliver Nägele. The last time they worked together at Glück was in 2012 .

Oliver Nägele is also regularly represented on German television. The actor has worked in German crime series such as Tatort (1999 and 2007), SK Kölsch (2000), Der Bulle von Tölz (2001), SOKO 5113 (2007) and Polizeiruf 110 (2007). He also proved his comedic talent in the series Edel & Starck (2003) and in 2005 in the film Ich Chef, du nix . In 2018 and 2019 he was a guest at Pastewka in seasons 9 and 10 .

His appearances in film and television are rather sporadic. He puts the focus of his acting on theater work.

Oliver Nägele is married and has two children.
