Ich Chef, du nix is a German television film by director Yasemin Şamdereli from 2007. The main roles in the comedy are played by John Friedmann and Florian Simbeck , who became known as the comedy duo Erkan and Stefan .

The young Turkish couple Mehmet Yilmaz and Leyla Aydin are accompanied by their families on excursions to the lake and at a picnic to ensure that Mehmet and Leyla do not get too close as long as they are not married. Mehmet then decides to propose to his girlfriend. Their father, however, insists that Mehmet first find a job to be able to take care of his daughter.
At first it doesn't look good for Mehmet because he is losing his jobs by the dozen. Finally, the brother of his future father-in-law, who runs a Turkish restaurant, puts him in front of the door, because Mehmet, in his intrusive manner, rather harassed, rather than served, two German businessmen. During his next job as a window cleaner, Mehmet meets Johann Gerold, the businessman from the restaurant, again. He speaks to Mehmet and offers him a job.
The next morning, Mehmet is picked up by his chauffeur, Fred, in his new company car and taken to work. At the company headquarters of the company MHG - Münchener Hausgeräte , he meets Johann Gerold, who introduces him to his new secretary, Ms. Mayer. He also leads him to his spacious office and instructs Mehmet to only contact him directly if he has any questions. After a while, Mehmet becomes suspicious of why he receives 50,000 euros a month without having to do any work. Gerold claims to Mehmet that he is a representative of the company to address young customers and families. When Mehmet learns that the documents he has signed in the past few days include the layoffs of 300 employees, his conscience intervenes again. He tears up a check for one million euros that Gerold slipped him on the golf course to buy his loyalty so that Mehmet would continue to act as the boss until the company went bankrupt and Gerold's plans would not be thwarted. Instead, Mehmet is now doing everything possible to avert the impending bankruptcy. However, he only has the weekend to spare, because next Monday the board meeting is due to initiate the company's insolvency proceedings.
Mehmet contacted the Chinese businessman Cheng, who had only appeared in his office a few days earlier to acquire the patents for a new type of washing machine that could independently reorder missing washing powder via the Internet. Instead of selling the new devices to China , Mehmet shows the Asian his mother's washing machine. Cheng is enthusiastic about the low-maintenance device and orders 1,000 washing machines, which he wants to receive at the Port of Hamburg . Now Mehmet is faced with the problem that at the weekend he can no longer commission a forwarding agency with the transport that is supposed to rehabilitate his company . So he asks his father, who works for Deutsche Bahn, to let his contacts play in order to organize a freight train for the transport. He actually succeeds, but the washing machines have to be brought from the company premises to the train station. To do this, Mehmet mobilizes his friends, relatives and acquaintances, with whose help the transport finally succeeds and the company is saved.
Mehmet is named Manager of the Year by Wirtschaftswochenende magazine . After this success, he vacated his post.
Nothing stands in the way of a wedding between Leyla and the now successful businessman Mehmet.
