Liberation Day is a German short film by Martin Blankemeyer from 2003, produced by the Münchner Filmwerkstatt and distributed by Constantin Film . The working title of the film is D-Day , the international title Liberation Day .

The former conductor Mr. Kirchhoff illegally keeps a small dog in the old people's home. His neighbor, Herr Förster, takes advantage of this and suppresses him. Nobody seems to notice anything - until one day Mr. Bender intervenes.

The film is the thesis of the double diploma program by Martin Blanke Meyer at the École Supérieure d'Audiovisuel the Université de Toulouse-Le Mirail and the University of Applied Sciences in Wiesbaden in the degree program Media Industry invited and was over 50 festivals in 20 countries, including the Festival Internacional de Cine de Donostia-San Sebastian .
